Dr. Firoz Miyanji, pediatric surgeon at BC Children’s Hospital, was recently featured in the Vancouver Sun talking about minimally invasive spine surgery.

The patient, 18-year-old Carmen Stolk, made history with the surgery because she was the first person in Canada to undergo the treatment for scoliosis.Dr. Miyanji, Carmen, and Carmen’s mom, Donna, were all thrilled with the surgery- which had Carmen standing up a few hours after her surgery and checking on her posture.
